EST is committed to continuously ensuring quality of services, safety at sea, prevention of human injury or loss of life, avoidance of damage to the environment, in particular, to the marine environment and to property. For this purpose the company has developed, implements and maintains a quality, safety and environmental management system which:
Provides for safety practices in ship operation and a safe working environment.
Safeguards against all identified risks;
Continuously monitors and improves quality and safety standards while it promotes environmental management skills to personnel ashore and on board its ships, including preparing for emergencies related both to safety and environmental protection;
Ensures compliance with mandatory rules, legislation and regulations;
Takes into account applicable codes, guidelines and standards recommended by the International Maritime Organisation, flag administrations, classification societies and maritime industry organisation;
Ensures that quality, environmental objectives and targets set by the company are maintained, reviewed and revised with the aim of continuously improving the Company’s performance towards the environment.
